Hello! We are Neil and Pauline, welcome to HELLO English. We are both highly qualified and experienced teachers, experts in English and have a passion for our language, which we will share with you!
We set up HELLO English - in Moseley, Birmingham - back in 2010, with a vision of helping students from all over the world to learn English.
Today, students of all ages and backgrounds benefit from our expert teaching and enjoy our friendly welcome, whether as a local student or as a homestay guest.
Our professional yet personable approach will help you to get the most from your lessons with us. Using our expertise, we will work with you to make sure that you achieve your goals.
Dr Neil de Reybekill

Neil has more than thirty years' experience as a philologist, English teacher, headteacher and university lecturer, and has taught in schools and universities around the world.
He says: “I really love the quirky beauty of the English language – and particularly enjoy sharing this passion with my students.”
Pauline Finlay
BSc (Hons), MSc, CELTA
Pauline is an economist and CELTA-qualified English teacher who has taught at the London School of Economics and King's College, London. She specialises in teaching Business English, and manages our HELLO Homestay programmes.

We worked with Sara – from Spain - to improve her English grammar and pronunciation, but she remembered the social content as being most important.
“I have enjoyed my stay here without being too busy. We played golf one afternoon, and visited the Morgan sports car factory in Malvern. We have been out for a pub meal, and shopping in the Bullring. Tomorrow, we will be going to watch a match at Moseley Rugby Club.
This range of activities has really helped me to use my English as I have been learning it.
